Condo Rental Rates and Policies
Rates: Rates vary by season, length of stay, and number of people. Rates for two persons start at $100 for low season and range to $150 for high season and holidays. All rates subject to Hawaii State Taxes. Maximum of four people in the condo, a fifth person may be possible with approval from the owners, twin futon bed. All rentals are subject to a minimum one time cleaning fee of $100. Rates are subject to change without notice.
Payments: The security deposit and payment can be paid by check or money order in US funds. A reservation is not confirmed until the deposit is received. PAYMENT: The full rental payment is due 60 days prior to arrival. If your payment is not received by the due date, your reservation may be subject to cancellation.
Security deposit: The minimum-security deposit is $250. This deposit will be returned less the cleaning fee after the keys have been returned. The security deposit will be charged for any damage, loss or excessive cleaning resulting from your stay. Security deposits are returned after all bills are received, usually within 30 days.
Cancellations: A reservation may be cancelled with 60 days written notice. With an on time cancellation notice, all advance funds will be returned less a cancellation fee. If written notice of less than 60 days is received, all advance funds will be forfeited unless the unit can be re-booked for your rental dates. No refunds will be given for early departure; you are responsible for the entire time booked once within the non-cancellation period.
Check-in time: 3:00 p.m. Checkout time: 11:00 a.m. Any exceptions must be approved in advance by the owners in writing.
Accommodations: The information while deemed reliable is not guaranteed. Distances to the beach are approximate. Every effort has been made to assure accurate descriptions. Changes in inventory or items and/or decor occur from time to time and such changes will not void or alter the terms of the rental agreement. Owners will not be held responsible for noise or loss of view due to construction, or for any amenities that are closed down for maintenance purposes or inoperable conditions.
Security of the home and rental equipment: When you lease the home you assume full responsibility for it and its contents, as well as your personal property. Always lock the doors and windows when you leave. Lock your automobiles and put away any rental equipment. Any use of recreational equipment provided in the condo or rented equipment by the Guests, is strictly at your own risk and liability and could cause you to incur additional expenses.
Occupancy: Occupancy is restricted to the number of occupants as described and paid for. Any use of the home for other than strictly family vacation purposes is restricted. We do not allow parties or functions to be held on the property. The Poipu Crater Condominium Association rules and regulations are posted on the inside door of the condo and all renters and guests are expected to follow all rules for the property.
Telephone: The home is furnished with telephones for your convenience and safety. All local calls can be made at no charge, 800 numbers and local Internet access can be dialed from the phone. The phones have long distance blocks which cannot be removed and require a calling card to make long distance calls.
Cleaning: The home will be cleaned prior to your arrival, and again after your departure. Excessive departure cleaning will be deducted from your security deposit. You may arrange with the owner for personal cleaning during your stay for an additional fee. For extended stays the owners may require additional cleaning.
Maintenance and repairs: We make every effort to ensure that all equipment is in working order. In the event of a breakdown, we will strive to repair it as soon as possible after being notified of a problem. We cannot guarantee that televisions, appliances, etc. Will not break down during your stay and therefore, no refunds or adjustments will be made for mechanical failure. Furthermore, there will be no refunds or adjustments made for any other unexpected situation beyond our control such as bugs, rodents, roosters, weather etc.
Lockout/lost key policy: The resident manager, located in unit 1, has a key to the unit; also the owners may be called for assistance if necessary at 949-683-7389, or 949-499-1070. There may be a charge for this service or for lost keys and this will be deducted from the security deposit.
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted in the condominium. Cigarette smoke smells and burns remain in the condo after you have departed. Violation of this policy will result in additional cleaning charges. Smoking is gladly permitted on the outside lanai only and outside common areas. Smoking restrictions may be in place in some common areas and must be observed.
Travel insurance: We advise all guests to secure travel insurance to protect you against various cancellations that may occur.
