The Accommodation

This beautiful condo has two full bedrooms and bathrooms, a living room, kitchen and dinning area and large lanai and sleeps two to five people. It is an approximately 1200 square foot two story townhouse style condominium and is bright, airy and private. There are open beamed wood ceilings, Berber carpet and ceramic tiled floors.

The upstairs master bedroom has a queen size bed and attached full bathroom. The second bedroom is downstairs and has two twin beds that can be converted into a king bed. The second full bathroom is adjacent to this bedroom. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and the view from both rooms looks out toward the crater wall with its unique native plantings and lava rock.

The living room is filled with light and has a gorgeous view across the crater toward the pool area. The view is lush and beautiful with coconut palms swaying in the winds. There is a sofa and two chairs, one with an ottoman and the perfect reading lamp with its own tray for a cold tropical drink or for keeping the remote control nearby. There is a large television, CD stereo and a VCR. You'll find a collection of Hawaiian music CDs in the condo and video rentals are available in nearby Old Koloa Town.

The lanai is a favorite place to relax and enjoy the view and bird watch. You'll feel as though you are in a tree house, high above the sloped crater floor and you can almost touch the Wiliwili tree. You'll see many beautiful birds including Japanese White Eyes, bright red Cardinals, Shama Thrushes and many more.

What you'll find:
The kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need to prepare a small meal or a large feast. There is a microwave, stove and oven, full size refrigerator and dishwasher. Linens, dishes, pots and pans and all the utensils needed. There is also a toaster and coffee maker. Our favorite dining area is the lanai; both the dinning room and lanai have a dinning table and chairs for four people. You'll also find a full size washer and dryer in the condo.

There is a collection of books including some of the best local guides and Kauai information books, as well as various reading books. Feel free to add to the library as other guests have donated many of the books. There are also many games to enjoy for every age. You'll find cards and dominoes, kids games, board games and puzzles along with many others. There are two boogie boards, ice chests, and beach chairs and towels to take with you to the beach.

Other resort amenities:
Poipu Crater has a beautiful swimming pool area located a short walk from the condo. There are tennis court, paddle tennis court and a ping-pong table as well as a sauna, shower and restrooms and a clubhouse. The BBQ is located poolside with an outdoor dinning area to enjoy, the property is quiet, private and relaxing and is ideal for both families and adults looking for fun or relaxation. Be sure to walk through the property and enjoy the varied and unique landscaping and natural beauty of the crater.
